She was considered one of the successful business woman of that time. She did not travel with her trade caravans; instead she employed others gi trade on her behalf for a commission. Hazrat Khadija needed a co-worker for transaction in Syria.
She hired Muhammad SAW who was then 24 years old, for the trade in Syria, sending word that she would pay double his usual commission. With the permission of Abu Talib ibn Mutalib, his uncle, Hazrat Muhammad SAW was sent to Syria with one of Hazrat Khadija's servants.
She sent one of her servant's, Maysarah to assist him. Upon returning, Mysarah gave an account of the honorable way in which Muhammad SAW has conducted hua business bringing back twice as much profit as she had expected.
She was so impressed by her agent's ability and integrity that she decided to put him.in charge of all her future business transactions. Word soon got out that there is a young man who deals with honest and fair means and is known as "Sadiq" and "Amin".

Her death:
Hazrat Khadija Tul Kubra was married to the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW for 25 years. She died in 619 AD on the 10th of Ramzan 3 years before the Hijrah. When she died nothing was left of her wealth-all of it was served for the propagation of Islam.
She was buried in Makkah in a cloak id the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW. Hazrat Abu Talib died in this year too. The Prophet Muhammad SAW called year Aam ul-Huzn.
While Hazrat Khadija Tul Kubra lived, the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW did not marry another woman and in later years he always said that she was the best of his wives.
He also said that she was one of the four perfect woman who had ever lived. The other three are Hazrat Asiyah, the wife of Firaun, Hazrat Maryam the mother of Prophet Isa(AS) and Hazrat Fatima Zahra.
