— Surah Al-Furqan (25:63)
Humility and calmness are signs of a true believer.

 Surah Al-Isra (17:23)
“Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are arrogant and boastful.”
— Surah An-Nisa (4:36)
The Qur’an stresses kindness, generosity, and good treatment toward everyone.

 4. Be just and fair

> “Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice…”
— Surah An-Nisa (4:58)

“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives…”
 Surah An-Nisa (4:135)
Justice and honesty are central to good manners in Islam.

5. Forgive and control anger

“Those who spend [in charity] in prosperity and adversity, who restrain anger and pardon people — and Allah loves the doers of good.”
 Surah Aal-Imran (3:134)
Controlling one’s temper and forgiving others are hallmarks of noble character.
 6. Avoid bad manners such as mockery, backbiting, or suspicion
“O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people... nor defame one another, nor insult one another by [offensive] nicknames...”
 Surah Al-Hujurat (49:11)
“And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it!”
— Surah Al-Hujurat (49:12)
